Hi! Thanks for visiting Front Range Fitness!

Before we get into the nuts and bolts of what I do, I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself.

I'm a mom to three crazy kids and wife to a pretty amazing guy . Together we love to be outside and on to the next adventure.

While my lifestyle has always been active, it hasn't always been healthy. When I was 17, I began to put on weight and continued to increase in size for the next two years. I wasn't happy with myself, I was horribly self-conscious, and had no clue how to change.

I tried eating only "diet food" (apples and rice cakes), I tried not eating at all, which resulted in me binging hard at night after everyone else was in bed. I went to college and added beer to the mix and things didn't get any better. I was lost and unhappy.

Then I met this boy (that amazing guy I mentioned earlier) who liked me just the way I was, which helped me to begin to like me. Add that to what I was learning in my exercise physiology classes, and something inside clicked.

That was 70 pounds and 15 years ago and I've since devoted my efforts to helping other women discover the best version of themselves.

I've recently undertaken one more specialty to add to my tool box -- core/pelvic floor training. I started looking into it as a means to help myself. Thankfully, I had three healthy pregnancies, was active during all of them and was at a point where I was feeling good about how my body worked. However, I was always having small little nagging injuries with running, I was constantly sore after lifting weights, and was just tired of feeling "off". I've visited several physical therapists over the years, but was never really able to feel like I wanted. My "baby" turned six this year and I still had a diastasis, my back ached from standing still more than 10 minutes and I occassionally had an intense jolt of pubic symphysis pain.

I found this amazing course and started applying it to myself and quickly realized I was a hot mess. While my core was strong, it was a far cry from coordinated, my breathing was less than ideal, and my glutes were essentially non-existent.

Fast forward three months, my core is actually engaged throughout the day and protecting my spine when I lift heavy, my rib flare has drastically decreased, my breathing efficiency has improved to the point that I've taken two whole minutes off my 5K time, my hip flexors are longer, which has made my back pain virtually vanish and my glutes are actually doing WORK!! Lastly, the chronic hamstring tendonitis I've been dealing with for the last 9 years has almost completely resolved itself. Told you I was a mess.
